Eurotunnel - recent experiences

Did anyone use the Eurotunnel recently, especially during the Easter holidays?

We drive to France in May half-term and have a 8.20am slot booked. I just wonder how busy it was? We normally plan being there early to grab a cup of coffee anyway.

We have UK and EU passports, not sure if that makes now a difference for going through the passport controls.

Ive seen some issues on X , certainly last summer was lots delays. Technical reasons , which I think was mostly down to the trains. Also passport control. But I'm not sure it's worse than a busy airport.

It has always had bad days, when it's busy if anything goes wrong you do get build ups of delays because it's the lowest priority user of the tunnel.

I'd say it's worse since Brexit but still perfectly useable. We go so unfrequently now we always get Flexi plus so you can just sail through anyway. If you're at all worried about getting stuck that's the thing to do.

Yes, obviously technical delays are on issue but we had this on and off before.

I am more concerned about the passport control.

Flexi - the price difference was enormous, we can only do the beginning and end of the half term so no flexibility unfortunately.
