Terminal 5 - Are the 20,000 bags delayed on arrivals/departures or both?

Having booked months ago to travel this week on a long haul flight from Terminal 5 does anyone know if all of the bags which have been delayed are for passengers arriving or departing or both?

but my dad flew out yesturday and got his bags fine

Not sure what I'd prefer to be delayed, to lose my bags or not fly at all?!!

My parents flew our with luggage, albeit 2 hours late on Friday to Hong Kong from T5

DD flew in to T5 from Tokyo on sunday, with luggage and through in an hour!

I flew in from Seychelles last night and collected luggage and in the car in 15 minutes, but that was T3.
