Guide books for children - Rome & Venice

We're going to Rome and Venice for a holiday in a few months. We have the Lonely Planet guides for both - but they are obviously geared to adults. Can anyone recommend a guide book for children to either city? (Our little'uns are aged 9 and 6.)

It's not a guide book, but your dcs might like The Glass Heart (especially if they are girls, perhaps, and maybe especially the 6-y-o). Venice isn't actually named as such in the story (in the tradition of all good fairy-tales) but it is easily recognisable, and it's a beautiful book.

Venice for Kids and I think they do a Rome for Kids. They are fantastic aimed 100% at children with good explanations, mini treasure hunts etc . You might get on Amazon if not in Venice the book shop Goldoni just off Camopo San Luca. Some other places sell them as well but they will have for sure.
