Swimming Trousers for Men

I've not been swimming on holiday for over 25 years. I've been on plenty of beach holidays but never go beyond the edge of the sea and never go in the hotel swimming pool if there is one.

The reason for this is that I don't like wearing shorts. I've not owned a pair of shorts in my adult life and don't intend to start.

It's just occurred to me that I should be able to buy a pair of swimming trousers. After all we know there are a significant number of women who completely cover themselves when they go swimming.

However when I search for swimming trousers for men the results are either swimming shorts or wetsuits.

What I want is something made of the same material as swimming shorts but covers your entire legs. Where can I find something like this?

Just had a Quick Look and it’s either full length Lycra type ones or 3/4 baggys.

Thanks for the suggestion but that would be too tight like a wetsuit. I want something more baggy like swimming shorts.

Wear full length lycra type, with baggy knee length shorts over them. If you are set on full length baggy trousers, use a pair of normal lightweight summer trousers. Anything full length baggy will be pretty awkward to swim in though.

I think you'll struggle to find full length baggy trousers because they're quite difficult - potentially even dangerous - to swim in. Did you ever do the thing at school swimming lessons where you jumped in wearing pajamas? It's really hard to swim with all that fabric flapping about dragging in the water.

Those leggings PP linked aren't wetsuit / neoprene, they're the fabric that speedo briefs / women's swimsuits are made from, if that makes a difference.

I (female) swam in the sea in normal sports leggings last year, as a sort of half way between wetsuit and swimsuit, it worked well.

I think full-length baggies would be dangerous. I'd imagine very religious modest men would wear tight leggings with a baggy tunic over the top to mid thigh the same as religious women do. I think anything baggy longer than that would be too risky and impractical.
