The BGD family are visiting a friend near Ilkley (Addingham) during the School Easter holidays. We have two children, one nearly three the other almost five, what things can I do with them?
I see there is a swimming pool in Ilkley, are here any animal farms nearby that I can take the kids to?
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

There's the outdoor pool but not sure it's open this time of year.

Wendy I have been to Thornton Hall farm (conveniently located for when we are visiting cousins) and we enjoyed it but Hesketh is much more handy for Addingham.

bozza where do you live?

I live between Huddersfield and Wakefield but was brought up in Barnoldswick. My DH's grandparents lived in Addingham though and his parents live near Keighley, hence my knowledge of the area.

veeeery local!

lily, it's not a petting zoo, it's the urban farm. You can stroke the animals though (or "amials" as ds insists on calling them) but I think they're rather too free range to be in a zoo

big gay - you can visit the all new M and S food in the station ( bliss!)
