Hi 👋🏼
I have received my children's passports through and one of them is much more cropped than the others (done by the passport office, the photo I submitted wasn't cropped). You can still see all of her facial features, but they've cut off the top of her head. She has a big cheesy grin, which the GOV website says is fine for unders 6's and it states their full face should be on show, but it doesn't actually say about whether 100% of the head should be in.
We travel shortly so there's absolutely no time to send it back for review. I have googled A LOT and have seen a mixed bag of 'I wouldn't risk trying to travel', to 'as long as the face is clear, it is absolutely fine'. I have also seen a lot of posts saying their children's images came back with the top of the head cropped off. My husband says that their is no way they'd have sent out a passport that won't be accepted at the airport, but I'm anxious! I have looked online and it says that passport photos have to be checked 3 times (twice by computer and once by person), before they can be accepted, so logically I am telling myself it should be fine. I just haven't ever seen a photo cropped like this.
I'm looking for some success stories where people can say 'yes, my child's photo was cropped similarly and was absolutely fine' - reassurance please!
I have uploaded pictures of all 3 passport photos for reference, but it is obvious which one is hers!
Thanks x
