Anyone flown BMI and taken their own car seat?

We are flying with BMI on Sat and they have told us we can't book a car seat in advance (why I do not know!!) and its first come first serve. We have decided to take our own car seat in case they don't have one for us as we will use it at our destination anyway.

We have a Britax one that fits a lap belt and a 3 point seat belt, which is what the requirement of BMI is and it has a five point harness - just checking if anyone else had any probs etc?

So, any experience with BMI and this would be welcome

Unless it is a car seat approved by the FAA, you won't beable to use it on board - did you pay extra for a seat for the baby or are they just in your lap the whole way?. Unless you paid for an extra seat and have an FAA approved car seat you will have to check the car seat in as fragile baggage and then retrieve it at your destination.
