We're going to Greece this summer and I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old.

Does anyone have recommendations for the smallest or most compact (&safe)

Travel cot/ mattress or bed
Car seat

Thank you!

Can you not use a travel cot where you are staying? As you can only take 2 pieces of baby equipment per child onto the flight on most airlines. So if you take a travel cot and car seat for each child you wouldn't be able to take a pushchair. Our last trip we used travel cots provided by the accommodation and hired car seats with the car hire. We have twins and managed to have 2 sets of both in holiday.

Agree I wouldn’t book accommodation unless it could provide a cot (ideally with a proper mattress not just the travel cot “mattress” that is just a fold up board & always needs extra padding!). And find a car hire co with baby seats.

We found most places in Greece could provide a travel cot. For a 3 month old I would stick with the firm mattress for safety. For the car seat can you just take your own? The majority of baby seats can be installed with just the seatbelt and you will know it’s safe and your baby is a good fit in it. Car hire companies don’t always provide good quality seats and your baby is still quite small so you will want to know the seat fits well.
