We’ve got accommodation on Vaxholm island but I am struggling to find out timetables and information about the other islands. We would like to do some trips to different places when we are there. Does anyone have any tips to make navigating this easier? Also, is it easy to see the other places without a car?

we're going to Vaxholm too! I've been out from Stockholm to Vaxholm before and that's very straightforward. Have you seen the basic info about lines through Vaxholm here?: https://waxholmsbolaget.se/visitor-information. They don't have the timetables in English but it's easy to enough to follow the routes here https://waxholmsbolaget.se/globalassets/kartor/hela-skargarden/linjekarta-skargarden-2023.pdf
let me know if you find a good source for timings.

Bumping this thread as wondered if you'd been and how it was? Thinking of visiting blido in August which is further out, and wondered what there is to do on the islands/ whether 5 days is enough?

Visited many years ago to the achipelgo and found it was easy to visit them on an all-day boat trip. Can't remember how much but it wasn't too expensive. Remember there was the Abba Museum off one of routes there. Daughter didn't want to go, sadly.
