Evenings in Lanzarote in spring. What to wear?

Going soon. Temperatures look great during the day but I can't work out what to pack for evenings. I know people say you need a cardigan or jumper for evenings. Is that over summer dresses or is it too chilly for legs out in the evening? Do I need to pack trousers?

We were there 3 weeks ago. Light jumper or cardi was fine over a dress or skirt and I'd usually end up taking it off inside the restaurant. Personally wouldn't bother with trousers unless they double up as plane wear

I took a Barbour coat late April and was very glad of it. Other British people were dressed like it was peak summer, bare legs, sandals! They looked miserable. It's chilly at night. I'd take jeans, socks, trainers, and a scarf.

Ah, mixed messages. The say time temperature is forecast to be 28/29/30 which is hotter than average so perhaps I should assume the evening will be warmer than average too. But then the forecast could change...

I'm in mainland Spain just now. I'm in shorts/ vest top in the day and summer dress plus denim jacket/ cardigan in the evening. I've had my legs out every night and they've been fine. It's 25 here today but there is an unpredictable cold wind. Just to let you know.

How soon? I was there in April 2018 and had a very chilly week. Sunny but cold wind.
I've been to Lanzarote in January, Feb, March and April and had a variety of weathers. It's always windy but usually the wind is warm. You can get cool evenings or a spot of rain in April.

Most restaurants and bars are under cover or indoors so you are unlikely to be sitting outside in the evening unless you choose to.
Having said that I would always take trousers and pack evening clothes suitable for a UK summer. So summer top with cardigan, trousers and shoes. I've made the mistake in the past of taking strappy sundresses and sandals and ended up buying stuff. I would travel in a warm fleece and then you have it if needed.

We came back yesterday: first few nights we wore jumpers, locals wearing coats. The final week a light cardigan was more than enough. My standard attire is linen trousers, a vest and a cardigan. I only put it on to walk home at about 9/10 tho x

We came home on the 24th March and I wore a really summer dresses with either a denim jacket or cardigan. Bare legs and either sandals or trainers. Definitely didn't feel miserable!

We went last Easter and were freezing in the evening so I'd take something warm just in case!

I posted above and I have just seen that a Calima is forecast. This is a blast of heat and dust from the Sahara which usually lasts a couple of days.

I don't like dresses so I normally wear loose trousers in the evenings but DD (14) was in dresses with a cardigan.

But we had lower temperatures during the day.

We went this exact week last year. I was chilly in the evenings so I wore a little bomber jacket and trainers. A little light scarf too. I'm nesh though!

WithIcePlease · 07/04/2024 21:05

Probs won't need jacket but maybe travel in trousers with lightly padded/spring weight jacket and pack a fancy top you could wear to dinner?

I went 3 weeks ago and wore sleeveless dresses with a light jacket (more like a shirt material) in the evening and was fine. It was around 21-24 in the day

TunaCrunchy · 07/04/2024 21:13

I would pack midi dresses and a denim jacket.
