Hotels advice -Spain or Balearics, near town, child friendly & BEACHFRONT

Hi all, I’m looking at holidays for next year as we’ll probably have to pay it off over a long period of time!

I wondered if anybody had any specific hotel recommendations please.

I’m going absolutely round the bend looking at things online!

We do not need all inclusive. We prefer to eat out a lot of the time and explore the surrounding area.

happy to look at various areas, but I think for a short flight and weather that’s not too hot in July, Spain or the Balearic’s might be a good shout.

The main criteria are

-child friendly hotel with at least one children’s pool… Does not have to be a full water park affair. Quite young children

-Short walk into town for things to explore.

-Very close to a beach or beachfront… not having to walk down the side of a cliff. We really don’t want to have to get a bus or walk 15 minutes in the heat with two reluctant to small children. It’s really important to us to be either directly on the beach or 1 to 2 minutes walk from a beach! I know that probably sounds very particular, but based on previous holidays, this is really important and we are pretty flexible with other factors!

Thank you very much for any suggestions :)

Beverley plays hotel in Paguera is right by a good beach.

Any of the beachfront hotels in cala d'Or, the beaches are amazing for little ones. Everything's walkable, there are fun parks open in the evenings where little ones can play and you can have a drink! It's a bit of a trek from the airport, about 45 minutes in a taxi but worth it for the beaches and numerous lovely restaurants. There's also a gorgeous marina.

At Hotel Son Bauló in Can Picafort, unlike most hotels in Majorca where you have to cross a road to get to the beach, you can literally step off the pool terrace onto the sand. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@39.758955,3.169645,3a,75y,65.48h,74.32t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipMUI03AHNrsvb3Le60PDm80viQZkFPuaXVD-Hxx!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMUI03AHNrsvb3Le60PDm80viQZkFPuaXVD-Hxx%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya33.559742-ro-0-fo100!7i5376!8i2688?entry=ttu

But try to go B&B, because the dinner buffet is not very good. Everything else is fine, the à la carte lunch place is great and the rooms are close to 4-star* *standard for 3-star prices, but the evening buffet feels like they haven't updated the menu since 1979 (or at least they hadn't when we went there in 2022). There are plenty of places within a few hundred metres to eat out each evening.

Royal Son Bou in Menorca looks great for kids, and I think you can do half board. The beach at Son Bou is lovely, and there are a few shops and restaurants in the small resort centre
