Cork International Airport Hotel is very luxurious and had lots of families stopping there. Probably quite expensive though!

We did this last year and one of the nicest was the Dingle Skellig in Dingle

Looks very 60s but was terrific and I am FUSSY!!!

We loved Dingle and saw the dolphin (which wqas sooo exciting0 as well as eating terrific seafood in restaurant called Into the blue on the quay.

Funnily enough the CIAH is very 60s-orientated as well! Must be a theme in Ireland .

We stayed in the Kingsley in Cork which was fab and bizarrely not toe expensive. Their pool/spa was one fo the nicest i have ever been in 9and that is what our kids like best. Also fab open air huge spa thing outside overlooking river.

if youre going from dublin to galway then you should try to stay in clifden which is almost an hour west of galway city, so its on the coast. We stayed in the clifden station house hotel which is very central and there is loads to do in the area. Hotel itself has leisure centre with small pool and gym, small beauty salon, theatre and surrounded by lovely little shops and coffee places. Oh and kids entertainment all afternoon up to 9.30 I think! Lovely restaurants in town and hotel one isn't bad. We stayed there a while ago with 3 kids and really enjoyed it. We have been away loads as a family looking for luxury child friendly hotels (not just in ireland)and this one was one of the better ones - not super deluxe but very comfortable and very friendly staff.
