Has anyone stayed at Gran Melia Palacio De Isora in Tenerife with little kids?

We're looking for somewhere to go on holiday in October so are looking at the canary islands where it's still going to be warm.

We're currently considering Gran Melia Palacio De Isora in Tenerife or perhaps Lopesan Baobab in Gran Canaria. Has anyone been to either of these hotels with kids? We have a 5yo and a 2.5yo.

What did you think? Any alternative suggestions also welcome.

I've been to both. Both nice hotels, our son was 1 when we went to the Tenerife hotel so too young for any activities, I remember it was a really nice hotel but not a lot in the area. He was 14 when we went to Gran Canaria, again a nice hotel, we liked that you could eat in the restaurants of 2 sister hotels. More shops in the area, and some nice chilled out bars on the seafront. I think possibly the Melia is the better hotel but more to do around the Baobab. We went to Puerto Mogan on the bus for the day and that was a lovely place.
