Heading to Gothenberg in July for 6 days. Looking for advice on everything really. We have a small studio apartment booked very close to the centre and will hire a car as we fly into Copenhagen. Its myself, DH and DS12. So a few questions.

● Weather? What should I pack?
● How expensive is it to eat and drink?
● Is it better to stay in the centre or out further seen as we have a car?
● Any must see places of interest?
● Any other advice really.

Thank you.

I'm looking at doing the same this July, though flying to Gothenburg. How did you find it? Would you mind sharing any tips?

Hi, we were there for a football tournament so a lot of our days were planned. Weather was lovely, averaged about 23 degrees most days. Transport links were good. Eating and drinking was expensive and not the best quality. It was just OK, would not be in a rush to return.

Gothenburg was pleasant but not our favourite destination. (Malmö is more interesting.)

We were staying in the old docks area which is being tarted up but which was an absolute dump. However, there's a swimming pool nearby which is basically sitting in the river but filled with water purified naturally.
