Warm weather in February

Do you have recommendations for resorts in a warm country for late February? Ideally suitable for children. So far, I'm thinking...
Egypt
Marrakesh
Gran Canaria
Tenerife
Kids will be happy to wear wetsuits if the pools are chilly but I would really love some winter sun. Specific hotels would be gratefully received.

What's your budget? Only short-haul, or is long-haul OK?

£2k
Don't mind long or short haul but this budget would probably only be for a week

I was in Egypt in February, and nothing was "chilly" 😀Do you "just" want a resort, or do you have anything particular in mind for activities or interests?

Just family time, winter sun. Can't afford 'summer' holiday so thinking Feb/march

I that case if you want to guarantee sun and warmth, I would suggest Egypt rather than the others, which can still be a bit chilly in February. The Nile valley is expensive, and if you just want to relax rather than visit places, not for you I would suggest. Have a look at Makadi Bay - it is very much a "resort" destination although only a taxi ride into Hurghada if you wanted to get out. The hotels there are pretty much resorts, little around them but sand, and as a result are often cheaper. This year I got two weeks AI with upgraded room and flights for £1600 - so if you search a week should be possible within your budget I would think. I stayed at the Fort Arabesque, but spoke to quite a few people from other hotels nearby and everyone was happy with their hotel, so the standards seem pretty good.

We have done Tenerife last 2 Feb half terms and had a lovely time. Needed a jumper in the evening last year, but was really warm even in the evening this year. Found eating out to be cheap and easy.

I've found the Easter holidays cheaper if that helps.
