2 adults. No children.
he wants sun. I don’t want too hot.
he likes lying around doing nothing. I get bored and need something interesting to do.
Don’t really want to fly more than 8 hours or so.
would stay in U.K. with the dog but it’ll probably rain and that would be sad. But maybe easier.
not keen on other peoples children - and it’s the school holidays but am stuck with a specific week or 2 at the end of August.

We went to Austria last summer (and going back this summer!!) Stayed in Zell am See but there will be loads of places.

It was me, DH and our 9 year old son. Stayed in a lovely hotel, not over big, good mix of families/couples of all ages. Again, there will be lots of hotels or chalets you can choose from.

We had lovely weather but being a mountain region it was a comfortable warm/hot. Not sweltering (did have a couple of very hot days though!).

Load of things to do - our hotel had a pool/spa area so you could choose one with its own pool for lounging around. Lido in town also had nice space for relaxing. Loads to do - boat cruise on the lake, up the cable cars onto the mountains and walk back, Salzburg is a day trip, nice bars in the town etc. You'll find loads if you Google. Some things need a full day, some a few hours so you can still have time to relax.

Would highly recommend 🙂
