Two Week Holiday with 12 hour time difference?

We would like to take a family trip to a destination which is 24 hours of flying to get to. The time difference is 12 hours. Will it ruin the whole experience? Is there any way to try and not feel awful with the jet lag? We'll be flying economy too, maybe premium on one 12 hour leg.

Can all of you actually sleep upright? That is key to surviving Economy.

Can you even get premium for one leg - thought you had to fly same class for all the route ?

Depends which way you go. I'm OK going to north America, ie east to west but bloody awful flying west to east. I believe that's pretty standard.

Truth is you'll feel out of sorts, it's how you deal with it that's the breaker. I last out as long as I can according to local time, have a short 1-2 hour nap and then go to bed normal local time. I know some people swear by melatonin. Not personally tried it so can't say one way or another.
