Hi!

Looking for some recommendations of some good cities for a short European city break with a toddler in tow? Ideally places where we can use public transport and have things to do to keep her entertained!

thanks ☺️

We found city breaks the best option in the toddler years. Beach is pointless below about 3, by the time you’re set up with uv protection tent and done a bit of a paddle they are bored as you are. Whereas visual stimulation of a city never fails

Valencia is lovely! It has a former river bed that runs through the city with a playground in the middle, that is now used for walking and cycling. There is a very easy to use underground and buses, plus a beach! It's a beautiful city, with wonderful food, but restaurants are in line with Spanish meal times so are usually shut at the time a toddler has their evening meal - so self catering may work best in an air bnb

I'm interested in this too although my son is slightly older. Copenhagen was recommended to me.

I agree that beach holidays aren’t really a thing below 3, we tried a few times with our first one ( 3 times up until 3) as I really wanted some sun and chill- it’s never chill with a baby lol. I gave up trying beach holidays with the second one. When they can go to kids clubs or enjoy the beach for a few hours it’s a different story.
Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen are all beautiful and there are lots of things to do. Small enough to easily navigate as well.

Lisbon is great. Public transport from airport, lots of parks, markets, aquarium.
