Turkey: early-mid April - beach weather?

Thinking of booking a last minute cheapo bucket and spade type hol for my toddlers for next couple of weeks. Is the weather good enough for a) playing on the beach and/or pool in just swimmies? Where is warmest?
And is Tunisia warmer? I've read the average climate info online, but my experience from other parts of the world is that temperatures are usually much warmer eg Canaries the temps are measured by a landmark in middle of island, but the resorts are by the coast and in sunnier parts and just weather is always warner than it is supposed to be.
I've never been to Turkey or Tunisia - would really appreciate some pointers. Ta

I went to Fethiye in Turkey last year during May half term so end of May, start of June. The weather was really mixed. It rained most days and at times was too cold to swim. We did have an enjoyable holiday and there were burst of sunshine in between but overall it was a bit disappointing especially as it was when there was a heatwave over here in UK. Personally I think mid April will be risky. You might be lucky and get mostly sunny days but it won’t be guaranteed. Tunisia may be a safer bet but I haven’t been there so can’t comment. Canaries are usually warm year round as an alternative option

I’ve been to Turkey Fethiye area about 10 times in May. It’s always roasting by May half term (end of May), I agree last year was dodgy weather. However in early May it can be a bit hit and miss so I would imagine April the same and probably less good. Canaries is definitely better for this time of year. Never been to Tunisia sorry.

I went to Tunisia mid May last year and I wouldn’t go earlier in the year, I got two days of sunshine, one day of warm cloud and one day of rain (I went for 4 nights). I wouldn’t risk Turkey, I would pick Cyprus (I was there a week ago) or Canaries.
My number one priority would be a heated pool.

We went to Turkey last April, it was cold ish and had quite a few rainy days. Wouldn’t go in April again. Toddler played at the beach but with a hoody on. Had 1-2 days in the heated outdoor pool, definitely too cold for normal outdoor pools. Never been to Tunisia, wouldn’t go with small kids because of potential stomach issues.

I would try and find a cheap deal for Dubai if you want guaranteed sun.
