Emergency hospital admission in Cagliari (Sardinia)

Im a uk resident on Holiday in Germany. I’ve just received an email from my brother saying he’s been admitted to ‚the main hospital‘ in calgliari after a fall but he didn’t say which hospital and he’s not answering my emails now. Don’t suppose anyone knows which hospital it’s likely to be? There are at least 4 and I don’t seem to be able to get through to any of them.

Do you not have your brother's number? So you could confirm he even is in Sardinia... It's most likely scam but you took too long to catch so they moved on with someone else. Who sends emails from hospital nowadays rather than text or WhatsApp 😶

Do you know if he's in that part of the world? Could be a scam - lots of them like that these days....

NeverDropYourMooncup · 28/03/2024 14:41

More likely to be a scam than anything else.

DSD9472 · 28/03/2024 14:43

Is he actually travelling? Is there anyone travelling with him you could call instead?

Helpful800 · 28/03/2024 14:47

It’s not a scam, I’m sure, for reasons I wont go into. He’s travelling alone.

Ask yourself why in the name of God he'd send you an email.
Just ring him in the meantime.

This seems to be the main one:

San Michele Hospital
The San Michele Hospital consists of a modern monobloc structure, which has approximately 600 beds, spread over 14 floors, 2 of which are basements, and a detached body which houses the new outpatient clinics. The hospital is surrounded by large green spaces and numerous car parks.
Since its planning, it has been conceived as a highly specialized centre, capable of offering Sardinian citizens cutting-edge assistance, especially in specialties, such as those relating to heart disease and organ transplants, which were only found in hospitals on the peninsula.

Unit Medical Directorate
Director: Dr. Marinella Spissu
tel. 070 539426
[email protected]

Hope all is ok OP

I don’t need to ask in the name of God thank you very much. There is a perfectly good reason why he hasn’t phoned and why I can’t phone him which I also don’t wish to share. Just asking for names of likely hospitals, not opinions of what to do thanks.

Snarky much.
And as other posters kindly googled for you, you could have done the same.
I actually live in Italy so was going to ask if you needed any help but I'll fuck off now instead and leave you to it.
