Short term Parking help Heathrow T5

Has anyone been to short term parking T5 at Heathrow lately? Do you have to pre book or can you just turn up? I’m picking up a relative and children ( and we will need longer than the pick up time to fit car seats ) and and to pre book cost £90 and was wondering what else I could do. Anyone been there lately??! Tia

I go to collect a family member about once a month ( usually evenings ) and I’ve never had a problem finding a space at T5 short stay . I’ve never thought to pre book .

It becomes expensive if the flight is delayed ( but all airport car parks are these days !) but nothing like £90! I’m sure you’ll be fine .

I never pre book. Luckily we're only 40 mins from T5 so I watch online arrivals from home, and a soon as the flight touches down I set off, that way I'm not paying crazy amounts if the flight is delayed
