When I was in my late teens, me and my buddies were itching for some adventure too. We ended up planning this epic road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway in California. It was insane! We hit up all these rad spots like Big Sur, Santa Cruz, and even made it down to LA. We camped out under the stars, surfed some killer waves, and just had the time of our lives. It was the perfect mix of bonding and adrenaline-pumping fun. Seriously, if you're up for it, a road trip like that could be just the thing you're looking for.

You'd need to give a bit more context. Budget. Time of year. Short or long haul etc.

Maybe look at a shared hobby or interest first. Cycling or football or sailing and base something around that. Or do something proper bucket list like driving down the Pacific Coast highway in California. Or African Safari.

DH & DSS go on a short break to a theme park every year eg 3 days @ Alton Towers - they love it

I’m planning to take mine on two trips.

one to Thailand so he can do Muay Thai and we can experience a new culture. One to the states to watch nfl.

otherwise, what about an outdoors holiday in the wilds of Scotland, or surfing in Tiree
