Austrian All Inclusive

Hello, I've come across these all inclusive / half board family hotels in The Alps which look amazing, if expensive.
Has anyone here been to one and can recommend it? We'd love to go abroad this summer, and have minimal mental load, but can't go anywhere smoking hot. These hotels seem like a great solution.
Grateful for any experiences / recommendations

Hotel Haymon in Seefeld. I went there last year on the recommendation of a Mumsnetter and I've since been recommending it to everyone. The food was out of this world. Half board- 5 course evening meal every night and a huge buffet breakfast with freshly cooked eggs to go with the bacon and sausages.

The fabulous breakfast and evening meal meant we literally grabbed a bit of bread and cheese and fruit at lunch.

Fantastic thank you. I've heard Seefeld mentioned quite a bit so it's good to have a hotel to investigate.

OP which ones are you looking at? I'm looking for ideas for us and following with interest!
Only problem is rooms. We are 4 and the teen answer can't share a room anymore. Self catering usually works out better for us but can be expensive!

We stayed here a year or two ago in Summer and really enjoyed it - just outside St Johann im Pongau, and not too far from Salzburg:

Has 3 pools (rooftop one is stunning), great food and a big playground area just outside the hotel.

Your 4*S Hotel in Austria, ALPINA Alpendorf

The Alpina Family, Spa & Sporthotel delights the whole family. In summer and winter you can experience a lot ♥ "feels like home".

The Alpinresort Sport & Spa Hotel in the centre of Saalbach is excellent, and you get a summer card that gives you free use of the cable cars, local buses and other attractions. We've been there in winter and summer, booked through Inghams or TUI. Saalbach itself has loads of activities for families and stunning mountain scenery.

It is 90 mins. from Salzburg, so a short transfer and close enough if you want to do a day-trip to Salzburg and do the Sound of Music tour, look at the old city architecture, eat Sachertorte etc.

I love Austria in summer, it's wonderful. Can't specifically recommend any AI, but can absolutely recommend the Tyrol region. Salzburg and Innsbruck are worth a visit (and the Swarovski factory, although it's been about 25yrs since I went last)

As a general rule, Austrian's have great food (sure, lots of wurst, but so much more), although it does tend to be simple. It's usually very seasonally driven and good quality ingredients.
