I'm taking DS away over the summer just the two of us. Has anyone got any tips for how to protect our belongings at the beach / so we can swim together? Thanks

I had a waterproof pouch that went round my neck. I would take minimal valuables and then put my phone/keys in the pouch. I would thread it through the strap of my bikini so it didn't float up when I was swimming. I would also put my clothes etc in a beach bag or carrier bag and not take a handbag so it looks less worth stealing.

Thanks @BendingSpoons. Is there a pouch that you can recommend please?

We've had ours for years and I don't remember where it came from, but I've seen others use them and I think they are all fairly similar. I think you get ones that go round your arm too. I was nervous putting my phone in at first and tested it with paper etc but it stayed totally dry.

I have something similar to this...

I like that it floats in case it some how detaches from me!

Can use it to take underwater photos too. And can slide room key card in there too.

Beaches I have been recently in Europe sometimes have a lockable locker on the umbrella pole
