Zante in Oct?

Looking for Oct half term.
Anyone been to Zante in Oct? We know the island very well but never been this late.

Anyone?

I went last year on an activity holiday in Zante in the 3rd week of October. Weather was good - sunbathing weather though one cloudy day and a belter of a storm one night that flooded the restaurants.

Was there many places open?

Yes there were - I think places tend to shut end of October though some might shut earlier. We stayed in Alykanas

My in-laws went to Zante at the end of October a couple of years ago, they liked it very much, but did say that many of the restaurants had shut for the season, So I guess it depends whether you will be mostly hotel based, or will be hoping to eat out a lot.

It's end of season, a lot of places will have closed if you are looking at half term week,

It will depend on when your half term is, and what the weather is like. Ours falls at the very end of October, into November so pretty much everywhere will be shut. Also if the weather turns, most places will close too. If you know the island well, can't you message some of your favourite bars/restaurants to ask them their plans?

Went mid Oct last year and a lot of places had shut, no issue for us as staying in a lovely hotel but could see quite a few others out wandering around looking disappointed.
Weather was sunny mostly but not quite enough for sunbathing.

We're also thinking of booking. Would some restaurants in the main town be open? Our half term is 20-25 Oct.

Too late in the year for Greek Islands. Head to canaries or Turkey
