Seville

Seville isn't easy from the uk

sunnylanding · 23/03/2024 08:42

Actually scrub that...there were no direct flights when I went! Looks like you can fly with vueling now direct from London.

Seville is an easy transfer from Seville airport. We did a cheap 20 minute taxi ride after our flight from Gatwick. Perfect for a quick trip.

Palma is the easiest by far. Multiple daily flights from pretty much every UK airport and 15-20 minutes in a taxi at the other end. And it’s a lovely city.

Another vote for Copenhagen. It's quick and cheap on public transport using the metro.

lurchersforever · 23/03/2024 09:03

Stockholm

Halfwayuporhalfwaydown · 23/03/2024 09:04

Geneva. Spend some time by the lake.

Havanananana · 23/03/2024 09:04

Salzburg. The city centre (castle, cake and Kaiserschmarrn) is 10 minutes from the airport.

Havanananana · 23/03/2024 09:07

Copenhagen gets you 2 cities for the price of one as you can easily take the train over to Malmö for a day - and another half-hour gets you to Lund.

MangosteenSoda · 23/03/2024 09:12

Girona, Alicante, Brindisi

EasyJet fly from Gatwick to Seville.

LIZS · 23/03/2024 10:39

Geneva, Lyon, Rome, Venice

Amsterdam is 15 minutes from Schipol. You could also do The Hague or Delft or Rotterdam or Utrecht in under an hour from there.

notimagain · 23/03/2024 10:47

Toulouse.

Served from Heathrow (BA), Gatwick (Easyjet), Stansted (Ryanair)

Shuttle bus between city and airport every 20 min, journey time 20-40 min depending.

(For info the tram link mentioned in some airport related sources is currently closed due to WIP on new metro link).

JoJothegerbil · 23/03/2024 11:18

Krakow. We're going next week.

mirmc · 23/03/2024 11:30

Lisbon. Download the Bolt app. Cheaper than Uber.

Whatineed · 23/03/2024 11:32

Basel. 10 minutes by bus.

reluctantbrit · 23/03/2024 11:46

Hamburg
Berlin
Munich
Amsterdam

All these have access to public transport at the airport with a short ride to the city

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 23/03/2024 11:51

Valencia! So easy, compact, lots to do without being overwhelming, one of the best city beaches (warm waters of the Med) that you can just walk along for ages, stop for tapas. I go with my younger two (14 and 9) and it’s perfect. The transportation from the airport is a dream. It’s a combination of being totally relaxing and a lot of fun. It’s a city you can walk. Great cycling infrastructure too. Avoid in late summer though.

Last year I flew from Manchester with EasyJet or Ryanair fly to Seville, Venice, Naples, Verona, Malaga and Prague - think they all fit the bill.
