Heya,

We are going to start travelling with our kids some more and I really want to make sure they are actually learning as we are travelling. Does anyone have any tips on places or website to source city guides for kids, resources on landmarks, family-friendly city walks - anything that is educational to use on holidays? I can't seem to find anything online at all!

You really need to tell us where you are planning to go. In most cities you can get local guides. In NY there are volunteers who will take you round. Surely all you have to do is buy a guide book or Google where you are planning to go?

I would do this the other way round. Pick a place to go and then think about what it offers culturally

Eg
Historical places of interest
Local dance/music/theatre/cinema
Geography of the area, eg waterfalls, volcanos, rivers
Boat trips
Walks
Religious places of interest

Choose a place you find interesting and then look what they offer. Lots of places have detailed websites with things to do cultural and for families, not the other way round.

We did lots of your beach holiday typical destinations and always found things to discover from a historic, natural or cultural view.

I think there are some blogs of people who travel a lot with their children and review destinations but it‘s easier if you have some destinations in mind and if you then come across these, earmark them for future holidays as well.
