Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend resorts in Mexico that they have been to and enjoyed please. I've been browsing the Internet for days and can't quite find the right combination:

  • going in may 2025
  • 5 star, all inclusive
  • suite where dd's are in a separate space to us and ideally aren't sharing a sofa bed
  • lots for both dds (10 and 5) to do
  • not fussed about a kids club
  • ideally under 12,000 for the 4 of us including flights if it can be done as a package

Thanks very much

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun

Agree

15 mins from airport
Splash park / water slides
Kids club/trampoline park/bowling/laser tag/soft play
10 restaurants
Evening entertainment
Can get a 2 bedroom interconnecting room
Beach is not great like a lot of that side of Cancun due to the seaweed.

Depending on duration, and when in May I'm not sure you will get it under £12k though.

Look at TUI for a package deal ballpark but could probably get it cheaper booking separately

Sandos Caracol - the kids have a bunk bed, there is a farm and “cat world “, some water slides… I’ve been twice as loved it so much

We've stayed a few times at the Grand Bahia principe Tulum in the Rivera maya area and had brilliant holidays , we have said that we'd like to try Grand Bahia Akumel which is on the same complex next time .
We've found the weather to be perfect with the beaches and the sea lovely , the hotels are large with great food and amenities . There's lots to see and do in the area and the local bus service is great .

We’ve just left Hyatt Ziva Cancun. 8 restaurants, kids and teen club, beautiful beaches and snorkelling from the beach. Cost us around £12k for 5 of us (three teens) branded alcohol too

So glad I've found this thread! We are just looking at Mexico for May & Tui have some great deals. I've put down the Akumel as my first choice so glad to see a positive comment

Jumping on here, we're looking at April 2025, anyone been and combined with organised day trip to chitchen itzu? Wondering if nearer Tulum or Cancun is better?

I think we are changing our mind & going for the Dominican Republic instead! Will start a new thread

I've been there. It's quite nice and a huge complex with little golf carts to get you round and usually good value. My DCs liked the naughty raccoons.

Watch out for the sargassum OP. It makes the beach unusable.
