Portugal or Lanzarote in April for best chance of sun?

For a week. Between Portugal and Lanzarote!? I know nothing is guaranteed with weather, but looking for the best chance of warm weather, as I love swimming. The hotel in Lanzarote has a heated pool, but no indoor pool. The one in Portugal, has an indoor pool but outdoor not heated. Or would you change destination all together? Somewhere in Europe, as it is only a short trip so no time to travel long haul.

You'll have much more chance of guaranteed heat and sunshine in Lanzarote in April.

I have been in the Algarve many times in April and the weather can be amazing.

We were there for 6 weeks in March and April last year and the weather was absolutely stunning- not a cloud in the sky and it rained once at night. However this is not guaranteed at all. The canaries are a better bet for more reliable weather and heat in April but the Algarve is much nicer!

What about Cyprus? My partner went last week and it was warm, although not warm enough to go in the outdoor pool....

Lanzarote will be warmer in April. Are you sure outdoor pool is heated though? Which hotel are you looking at?

Lanzarote definitely. But Portugal is nicer.

You're petty much guaranteed good weather in Lanzarote. I went in February and it was hot and sunny

Canaries and Cyprus can be windy. I’d go Tenerife at a push.
Would you try Egypt or Gambia?
