How much would you spend on holidays per year if you were me?

Rent alone, earn a take home salary of £6,500 a month. Saving for a deposit but likely to see big salary increases.

How much would you think is a reasonable yearly holiday budget?

Most people spend between 5 to 10% but the big questions are - how much deposit will you need? How much have you saved already?

Currently saved about £40k, maybe need double that. Not in a major rush to buy though as local market is dropping.

It wouldn’t do any harm to be a position to buy when you feel the market is right. It does generally do up over time and rent is dead money.
If you live alone are you talking about holidaying alone? If you are being invited on holiday with friends and family that makes budgeting difficult as they get a say in where you go.

I think it depends on what you can afford/ need for other stuff.

I find holidays important so spend a decent amount on it but make sure I have enough for housing /bills etc and if I am you save enough.

how much of the 6500 is left after bills.

say you have 4500 left maybe put 2500 in to savings. 1000 in to general spending and 1000 in to holidays
