Can I take my baby in the pool on holiday?

We're going to Spain in May and my baby will be 4 months old. Is it suitable to take baby in the outdoor pool or will it be too cold for her? If so what should they wear in the pool?

What should I dress my baby in to sleep too?

Hard to say until you try it? She'll need swim nappy and maybe a swim onesie for sun protection. Just give it a go!

Mine used to wear something like this (with a swim nappy underneath).

It depends if the pool is heated though, if it's not I wouldn't

You can get a pool float with a roof to sun protect

The baby/small kids pool are really warm, often shallow as well. But even the bigger ones are warm enough for dipping into it.

Cover your baby head to toe in UV suits and a swim nappy underneath (bring plenty from home, they are really expensive in the resort towns).

Konfidence swimwear have baby wetsuits that will also give sun protection and keep them warm .

get a float with an attached sun canary and a swimming Sunhat

Re swim nappies I use reusable. It saves space in the suitcase as only need 1 or 2. Then you just rinse out after use and leave to dry out with costumes.

To sleep I use summer sleeping bags (as my children always sleep in a sleeping bag). Then depending on temp overnight either just have a nappy under it or a vest as well.

In May the pool will probably be very much on the cool side.
