Luxury winter sun holiday for family of 4

We would like to go away after Christmas over the new year. We don’t know where but somewhere with sun, 5* luxury and good for families (3 year old and 8 year old). Any recommendations? We would not consider Turkey or Mexico.

Have had great holidays in south Vietnam and Cambodia at that time of year. It depends if you want beach and relaxation or a more adventurous holiday. My dd was three when we visited. Western Australia is another of my favourite winter sun destinations, but too far I imagine. Thailand seems an obvious choice.

Dubai seems obvious choice?

I’ve been to Vietnam at that time of year, as pp point out you’d need to be in south. Phu Quoc is lovely for island life
