We love hiking and so far have had holidays in the Pyrenees, Dolomites and Alpujarras. Have anyone ever been anywhere with good walking elsewhere in Europe, the Alps maybe?

How about the southwest coastal path? In England that is . We love it. Only walked parts of it pre-dd but there are lots of companies that will transport your kit so am sure it could be child friendly.

We have enjoyed walking holidays in the Samoens area of the Alps (Haute Savoie). Only about 1 hour from Geneva and within a day's journey from Calais (guide says 9 hours but probably less). Very characterful traditional small town with fabulous scenery all around.
