how long does a first childs passport take

hii all
ive applied for my 5 year olds first passport sometime last year came within 2 weeks absolutely brilliant. so then mid december 2024 i applied for my youngest first passport its been 10 weeks plus i rang this morning and all they keep saying is its still with the examiner, has anybody had this and how long will it take

That's so odd. I got DC2's first passport a few weeks ago, it only took a couple of weeks. I was really surprised and impressed by how quick it was.

DS2s took about 3 months. Turns out to have been due to an error on the birth certificate that we hadn’t noticed previously.

I think I’m having the same issue, it has been 5weeks now. They keep saying it is with the examiner. Have you gotten yours now?
