Solo holiday with daughter under 2

Due to personal circumstances with husband and work commitments I am considering taking daughter (under 2) on holiday alone.

Thinking all inclusive with a couple hours flight for 5 night. I know I could do a staycation and might do that later in the year as well. I haven't been abroad in a few years and craving some sun and quality time although I appreciate it will be me making more memories than her.

Just looking for some guidance whether to just go for it or whether I should wait until next year when she is older and another family member might be able to come with us.

TIA

I think it could be a great idea. In a way it will be nice to only have to focus on you and her. We found our first family holiday together (kids 2y and 5m) extremely stressful because there were more people's needs to accommodate and also there was a constant awareness/resentment that, compared to previous holidays, me and DH weren't really doing very much "for us". We did self-catering and I think all inclusive would have been a much better shout.

As PP said, as you only have yourself and DD to consider it makes things easier in a way. DH and I take DS away separately as well as having family holidays.

Just make sure you have a living room or a balcony at your hotel so you don’t have to go to bed at the same time as her.
