Asking for a non MN friend who is flying to KL for work.
She has three days there for a conference. She wants to add on a couple of days for R&R. Are there any easily accessible beaches nearby where she might get a cheapish hotel?

Or any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I'd just get a cheap flight with Air Asia direct to Langkawi. Less than an hour's flying time.

I second this.

Ok great. And good for solo female travellers?

If you have any more detail I'm sure my friend would appreciate it. Thanks!

I second this.

I third this.

Should be fine for female travellers, subject to the usual precautions.

I know budget is a concern but don’t stay in Kuah, it’s kind of low-brow touristy and the beach there the best.

Budget is a concern up to a point @Kucinghitam - she won't be in five star. But she should be able to cope with half decent hotels so hopefully she'll be ok
