Cancelling due to pregnancy?

Hi
We have a family wedding abroad next summer however we are planning on ttc in the later end of summer / autumn this year. Obviously there is absolutely no way of perfectly planning a pregnancy unless you're extremely lucky.

We have travel insurance through our bank so would hold insurance at the point of booking and could pay on credit card if it gives us extra protection on the holiday. If we were to book and then unable to fly are we eligible for a refund/voucher or would we completely loose the holiday?

They won’t refund you just because you’re pregnant (or because you’re too pregnant to fly), becasue that’s a foreseeable event of your own making.

If you’re too unwell to attend (and have medical evidence for this), insurance should pay out.

A credit card isn’t relevant in this scenario (though it’s still sensible to book on one), because the holiday will be available, the issue is whether or not you will go.

You’d only be eligible if your doctor bans you from flying and I don’t wish that on anyone.

You are better off paying a bit more to book flexible flights (or finding very cheap flights you don’t mind losing) and trying to book accommodation with free cancellation. Travel insurance wouldn’t pay out unless you are too ill to travel.
