We never go abroad because of husbands work during summer months,. We have now decided that it will be canaries this October half term. I have paid deposit so have to go with Olympic holidays.
Any recommendation for family of 5, kids 21,19,17 (can't believe they all want to come!!)
PS We would like smart and classy if possible

I like Lanzarote, can't recommend any hotels as we book a villa

Barceló Playa Blanca, lanzarote, this one is new - i've not been but driven past - and it seems to be getting good reviews. Or there are some nice looking hotels (again not used but outside space looks good) at playa honda area. we too use villas.

or a lot of people rave about the hotels in tenerife, which again looked nice from the walkway (costa adeje) . we didnt like it so much as we use villas and prefer low rise. but for kids of your ages they may find more happening in tenerife. it has a really good water park. if you search on here i'm sure you will find loads of info

I recommend the Playa del Duque part of Costa Adeje in Tenerife. Just looked at the Olympic Holidays website and they have quite a few hotels in that area. Gran Hotel Bahia Del Duque if you can afford it - very spendy for 5 adults. If not GF Victoria is nice and in the same area.

We also go to Lanzarote, and mainly in a villa. But for a more lively area with better beaches imo, try Puerto Del Carmen. Can't recommend a particular hotel though. If you want just away from PDC centre, try Los Pocillos area.

If you go to Lanzarote Seaside Los Jameos is a lovely hotel, 4 star but nicer than some 5 stars I have been to with excellent food, a spa and a heated pool.

Costa Adeje in Tenerife is a good area. We stayed at the 5 star Costa Adeje Gran but it wasn't as nice as the 4 star above. We stayed in the Iberostar Anthelia a number of years ago and it was excellent or the GF Victoria seemed really nice.

Same here. Been twice which I have never done before. Best food I've had in a hotel, beautiful location, rooms fab and staff excellent. Also I recommend paying extra for star prestige as you get a wing of the hotel which is adults only.

@TheBackingSinger Great hotel, can't wait to go back at some point. No Star Prestige for us for a while, our daughter is only 7.
