BA hand luggage

The maximum dimensions for BA hand bags are 40 x 30 x 15cm - does anyone know if this would be OK? It's 5cm too deep but Longchamp bags can be squashed! Many thanks. https://www.johnlewis.com/longchamp-le-pliage-original-medium-top-handle-bag/p5051147

it will be fine, ive used a bigger bag as hand luggage and it was fine

It'll be fine I took a 60l backpack as my hand luggage, no problem at all . There's no problem with this as it's within the measurements, just turn it sideways.

That should be fine.

Saying that, I flew with BA several times in the last 6 months and all the times they are now asking people with large back packs (hiking ones) or wheelie suitcases to check them in at the gate.
In Amsterdam they didn‘t even ask for volunteers, they just took them off the passengers.

Squishy bags seem to be ok.

@doglover90 Thats not right. I think that’s the laptop/handbag size. Cabin luggage is bigger. 56x45x25 from what I can see. Read a bit more on the web site.
