2 of us - been to South Africa before. Interested in wildlife, hiking....any ideas?

we did a self-drive holiday around Namibia last summer. Incredible place and masses of wildlife to see. lots of driving but not as much hiking as I'd expected - we were often told it wasn't safe because of snakes / getting lost etc. but it would be if you have a guide and have planned for a hike.

Okonjima plains camp is lovely.

We drove around Namibia a decade ago and the roads were great plus good maps available (and now google maps I guess). We got the kind of 4wd with a tent on the roof and stayed at campsites.

Very easy to find the way. Google maps works and there aren't many roads.
