As the title reads really, I am trying to plan our first family holiday abroad and have little idea where to start. We have 3 boys, 14, 8 and 3. Ideally I’d like something possibly all inclusive. I’d like it to be a somewhat active holiday, don’t want to just spend time round the pool or at the beach, would like to do a little exploring whilst we are away but equally have the option of a good pool & beach if we do fancy staying around the hotel or locally.

Really liked the idea of Thailand but not sure of its suitability with our 3 year old. I have been in the past with my dad but I was a teenager.

any recommendations/advice welcome!

Find a hotel with holiday clubs for all age groups. Or aparthotel. I like Lanzarote. 4 hour flight. Or do neilsen holiday - lots to do.

Someone else also recently recommended Lanzarote or Tenerife. Not heard of aparthotel before, will take a look into that too!! Thank you.
