Is it more/less expensive to use a Travel Agent/Advisor/Consultant?

I’ve always booked my holidays myself. Flights, accommodation etc. struggling to think of where to go next with my kids aged 9-14 and wonder if a travel consultant is a good idea. Are they expensive or do they have special deals that save you money?

It can be the same, a bit more or less, entirely depends on what your trip is.

Most have preferential rates and access to deals and prices you can’t get as a consumer, their cut then fills the difference a bit. You get the benefit of their advice and they may come up with something you wouldn’t have found for yourself.

Can be well worth it, especially for bigger bespoke trips but I always price it up myself too before deciding.

Try a few, you’re under no obligation to then go on and book

Thank you. I’ll have a go!

Look at how you are legally protected if things go wrong.
