my friend lives in the mountains in spain, her dh goes away to work often and she has invited us to stay for a few days in april. she has 3 bedrooms a dd and a ds. she desperatly wants me and dd to stay.i really want to go but she says we will have to stay in her yurt.
anyone else stayed in one? dont really fancy it to be honest . any top tips?
i would prefer to stay in doors, i might get scared.

haven't stayed in one yet but we're off to one in cornwall for a week in May,
I think they're fab

will me and dd be safe in it, dont want any goats wondering in, are they warm, the yurts not goats.my initial trepidation has waned a little and now fancy dd and i as native indians.
do you have any links for yoursfingerwoman?

they aren't as "tenty" as tents, iykwim? more structure to them, so I am sure you'll be fine re: the goats wandering in lol

I bet your dd will love it

what might you get scared of? It's Spain not Africa!

Yurt aren't "indian" they are central asian!! here

WelliesAndPyjamas · 25/03/2008 11:11

go fot it! sounds like fantastic fun!
we have a tepee for our business and DS (4)loves it far more than a 'normal' tent! You'll have a fab time, I'm sure.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 25/03/2008 11:13

(btw, I know a tepee is not a yurt but the whole thing of staying in an oversized tent that looks like something out of a storybook is so much more fun, I think! Or is it just time I grew up?! )

kew, im more scared of someone getting in iynwim.
she says its not too far from house, if dd wasnt with me and dh was i wouldnt be such a wuss.

Thought you were worried about being savaged by a goat

hifi · 25/03/2008 11:35
