Package holidays and not a clue

I have just cancelled our holiday for this year which was a cruise as I am pregnant and will be past 25 weeks at sailing date.

The problem is we promised our DS we would take him on a plane this year.

So we need a package holiday. I have looked online. They just all look the same .....pool , bed, etc

I have never been on a package holiday normally we uk holiday, camping or go on a cruise again from UK. We like easy holidays.

So give me your suggestions, close to home, we are an active family but I will be at the end of the 2nd trimester in May when we are planning to go , so may have to tone down the activeness. Can't stand flopping on a beach all day . Not too hot.

Thank you !

Take a short trip to Billund for a few days? It is pretty easy to organise yourself. Plenty of flights from the UK which only take 90-120 mins or so, so not too stressful or tiring. Legoland, Lego House, and then Lalandia for relaxing, pools etc. WOW Park is also open in May if he likes active, outdoor stuff.

Stay at the Lego Hotel, or on site at Lalandia, or at the Zleep Hotel which overlooks the airport, so he can watch the planes landing as you eat breakfast.

Go for a city break - a city break on the coast and you can have beach/water time too if you like. We went to Valencia last year - lots to do, easy transport, shortish flight or Oslo, or Barcelona, or Italy - Pisa and Rome.

Well, a package holiday can be active as well. We never stay in the resort all the time. Package just means you book flight and hotel together.

Choose a hotel you like and a place with things to do.

You can do plenty of trips, depending where you want to go. We visited zoos, nature reserves, historical sites, museums, wandered around towns and markets, went on a boat trip etc. So similar what you may do when you are on a cruise and go on a land outing.

Or go on a city break if your DS is into this, you didn't say his age.

Package holidays use flights. This might well be an issue depending when you want to fly.

How old is DS? Maybe somewhere like Jersey? There's a great zoo, beaches and a massive castle and but the flight is only 30 minutes from Southampton so very easy.
Otherwise Mallorca is good. waterpark, the caves, etc etc and hotels for days. There's nice bits and tacky bits but it's got everything.

Mallorca in May is lovely.
