November European city break

Friend and I go away every Autumn together and love the cities we've explored so far (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Venice, Berlin, Krakow, Prague, Porto, Lisbon) - we love good food, live music, lots of interesting art and architecture in places that are welcoming/safe for women to wander. Where else would you suggest we explore? Any must do/see/experience tips? Any suggestions of areas to stay in the city. Thank you in advance 👍

Budapest, Rome, Florence, Madrid. I’d probably go for Rome or Florence if you’re into art.

Another vote for Budapest based on your list. Rome, Florence and Barcelona should also all feature at some point!

Barcelona is very good for art and architecture. There’s the Dali museum, Joan Miro museum and Picasso to name a few.

South will be warmer, we went to Amsterdam in November and Krakow in January and both were bloody freezing! We went to Budapest last year in February and it was ok, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back, especially when you realise the castles are 're-imaginings' and see them building new ones from breeze blocks and cement.... The hot springs were fun.

We've been everywhere on your list other than Porto and you've been to most of my top European city favourites already! I really loved Lisbon, cascais and Sintra but was pregnant when I went so I'd love to go back with less swollen ankles.... I lived in Berlin for a while when I was younger so that has a special place in my heart.

Madrid is really good, great galleries, restaurants/bars etc.

I really enjoyed Oslo, it's very expensive though.

Athens is also incredible but I've never been in autumn, I imagine it's nice though quieter and not so hot.

We did Vienna in November.
My favourite European city break, and we've done a few, was Seville.
