Athens followed by somewhere by train

I'm taking my 10 year old to Athens and then hopefully to somewhere on the coast by train.
Does anyone know what Loutraki is like?
Any thoughts on Corinth for the ancient ruins or Athens tips would be good.

Or, does anyone know of anywhere else accessible by train from Athens that's worth a visit?

What about by ferry? From Piraeus you can get ferries pretty much anywhere in Greece. I love Aegina with kids

You can do day island hops from the ports in Athens. Hydra, Poros and Aegina is a nice one. Hydra is one of my favourite places.

It might also be an idea to look at a local your operator for an organised trip.
