Anyone been ? Would you recommend family and children ages 4/6?

Thank you!

We flew into Zadar a couple of years ago and spent a night there. It's perfectly nice with a pretty old town but i wouldn't spend a whole holiday there.

There's an amazing national park about an hour away (Krka) and you can drive anywhere down or up the coast to find nice spots.

If you've found cheap flights into Zadar go for it but try to find accommodation near the only beach Kolovare. We just used it as a base to explore Plitvice National Park and the gorgeous beaches just down the coast. We stayed in a lovely apartment just across from the bridge into the Old Town (which is absolutely stunning!) But the rest of Zadar was mainly grim tbh, I wouldn't stay with a young family unless of course you can find accommodation at Kolovare. If you'll have a car Murter just down the coast was gorgeous and had the most beautiful beaches, particularly Slanica Bay.
