If you lived in Norfolk & were travelling to Cambridge - what would you do?

Would you leave tonight or tomorrow?

It is a 2 & 1/4 hr journey

It is thick snow here in Norfolk & none (or virtually none) in Cambridge

We need to be there by 10am (not negotiable)

I would try for today...

Blu · 24/03/2008 16:25

Leave v early in the morning.

ProfYaffle · 24/03/2008 16:26

Virtually no snow here in south Norfolk, maybe the thicker snow is just local to you (I think you're in the west??) Personally I'd go tomorrow.

KatyMac · 24/03/2008 16:29

I'm East

It's a hospital appointment & I think being late is disrespectful

DH is saying - well if we are late we are late ? accurate but annoying

I always think of you in Kings Lynn for some reason. I think you'll be fine tomorrow, we drove from Southwoldish area back here earlier on today and there was no snow on the ground.

KatyMac · 24/03/2008 20:29

We decided to go in the morning - the weather out there is awful & we didn't fancy driving in it

At least in the morning it will be lighter (hopefully)

OK - after seeing the weather forecast - I think we made a mistake

A bit late now but I drove back from Suffolk today (Kessingland) to London and the main roads, A and M-ways were all clear and flowing nicely - took me about 2.5 hours, the usual time (bar a lunch stop). I was packing it a bit with the weather I must admit.

Fingers crossed they're the same tomorrow for you .

KatyMac · 24/03/2008 23:12

Thanks

how was your journey Katy?

KatyMac · 25/03/2008 18:51

Interesting

The snow this am was awful & no rads were cleared at all

Once we were on the A47 it wasn't too bad but it was very difficult to drive & great lumps of snow kept falling off cars and smashing into the road

The journey back was fine

is it addenbrookes you came to? if you ever have to come over for another appointment, you can always stop here for a break in the journey.

KatyMac · 25/03/2008 19:53

Papworth - where are you?

OP posts:
JingleyJen · 25/03/2008 21:15
