Thought it might help someone. Just finished a week in the Vialattea - staying near Sauze d’Oulx.
There is snow, but v slushy and not great skiing. However, your ski pass also includes sestriere and montgenevre which both have better snow. Montgenevre especially is lovely - some really good powdery runs.
Best to hire a car - so you can drive to the other resorts and spend the whole day skiing there. Car hire v cheap from the airport. Parking in resorts easy and free.
