Lacking inspiration

Hi all, lacking a bit of inspiration. We’ve been to Turkey for our last 3 holidays. Done big resorts, all inclusive, water slides etc. We’ve had a lovely time and it’s been great for the kids. Happy to mainly stay in resort, but I’m not sure I want to go to Turkey again. We have to go in school holidays because of work so cost is a factor. I think the kids (11 & 8) might be a bit disappointed if we go somewhere without slides and a big pool now. Budget is somewhere between 5-6K if going all inclusive. I would consider not doing all inclusive but I’d worry about how much we would spend. I know we’re very fortunate to be able to afford a holiday at all, but I’m just not sure I want to do the same again, so looking for a bit of inspiration I suppose. Kids aren’t bothered about kids clubs, but they do like a big pool area where you can use inflatables without crashing into someone else. We definitely can’t afford some of the options regularly mentioned eg Ikos etc, so where are people with similar aged kids and a similar budget off to this year? Thanks everyone.

We’re going to Marina di Venezia which has a massive pool area. I don’t intend on doing much cooking - we’ll do a mixture of cafes, takeaways and ready meals.
